After Winifred

This giclee* print has been developed from a hand stitched silk embroidery that depicts a view of a rainbow over the Bristol Channel in a summer rain storm. The flowers were a birthday gift and I added them to the almost finished stitched sky and sea scape as the colours were perfect.

It is a tribute to the English artist, Winifred Nicholson, famous for her paintings of flowers, sea scapes and rainbows.
