Birds in Skirts: 22 The Black Embroidered Skirted Bird

Birds in Skirts is a unique collection inspired by the pair of topiary birds at Hidcote, and created especially for my exhibition 'Inspired to Stitch'. These are customised one-off *giclée prints, individually hand-stitched with treasured vintage fabrics from my own studio

A vintage wide woven braid which I have been saving for years, is augmented with embroidery stitches, a smart striped grosgrain braid, and Swiss floral ribbon.

This A4 print is sold mounted and framed as seen; but it can also be purchased and delivered mounted and unframed.

*Giclée is a high definition pigment based print that produces excellent colour reproduction and longevity. The paper is a 320gm acid free and made entirely of cotton fibres. Giclee prints are guaranteed not to fade or discolour for over 100 years.
